What it is
Dress-Up Party is a creativity game built around the one gesture a two-year-old already has: the tap. A friend stands in the middle of the screen, a bear, bunny, cat, puppy, frog or panda, drawn in the same soft picture-book style as everything they wear. Big pictures in the wardrobe drawer show the hats, glasses, clothes, shoes and toys; one tap puts a thing on, and it fits: sleeves go on the arms, wellies on the feet, a crown between the ears. Paint pots recolor whatever is showing, or the friend's fur. The music button starts a dance party with lights and a little tune, and the camera takes a polaroid with a silly name like Royal Bunny. Six places to dress up in, from the park and the beach to a theatre stage and outer space, each with things to tap.
How to play
On a laptop or desktop
Click a picture in the wardrobe, or click the friend itself: head for hats, eyes for glasses, tummy for clothes, feet for shoes, paw for toys. Letter keys change a slot, 1 to 8 paint, Space is a surprise outfit, Enter takes the photo.
On a tablet or phone
Tap a group at the bottom (friend, hats, glasses, clothes, shoes, toys, places), then tap a picture. Tap a paint pot to recolor, the dice for a surprise, the music note to dance and the camera for a photo.

Tips for parents
Ask questions instead of directing: "What should Bunny wear to the snow?" Name the colors as they paint. The dance party and the photo are natural stopping points, and the Share button on the photo card lets a parent send the game to another family.

Is there dragging?
No. Drag-and-drop is hard for two-year-olds, so every change is one tap: a picture in the wardrobe, a paint pot, or a part of the friend.
Is the outfit saved?
Yes, on your device. The friend, outfit, colors and place are still there next time. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no account.
How many outfits are there?
Six friends, nine hats, four pairs of glasses, eight outfits, five pairs of shoes, six toys and six places, and every item can be painted in eight colors.
