What it is

A block swings from a crane at the top of the screen. Tap and it drops. Land it squarely on the block below and the tower grows; land it off-center and the tower leans, wobbles and, eventually, comes crashing down to a chorus of gasps from an emoji audience. That is Stack It Up: a timing game with real physics, where the only score is how high you built before gravity had its say. A perfect drop snaps into place with a chime, and three perfect drops in a row set the crowd waving.

Tips for parents

Say the count out loud together as the tower grows. When it falls, laugh with the crowd. The collapse is designed to be the fun part, so no child should feel they lost.

Questions parents ask

Is there a game over?
The tower falls, the crowd gasps, and one tap starts a fresh tower. The best height is remembered on the device.
How tall can the tower get?
As tall as your timing allows. The swing gets faster every five blocks, so very tall towers are a real achievement.
Why does the first block sometimes fall straight off?
The first block lands on a ball. If it is too far off-center it tips, just like a real block would. Aim for the middle.
